omar salazar pro shoe

Coming very soon from the Nike SB lab is this little beauty...

Here's what they are saying about the shoe...
From his early days as an amateur from Northern California , to his rise as one of skateboarding’s most original and inspirational professionals, one thing has always been clear about Omar Salazar: the energy he brings with his raw and creative style of skating is truly one of a kind. After years of mind-bending video parts and magazine coverage, Nike SB is proud to announce the release of Omar Salazar’s first pro model shoe, the Zoom Omar Salazar SB.
Omar officially joined the Nike SB team in 2005 after a year of skating in what was the most technical shoe in our line, the Zoom E-Cue. As one of our first ams, Omar preferred the shoe for its comfort and durability and has since skated in nearly every shoe we’ve made. For his own model he worked with footwear designer James Arizumi to create a technically advanced mid-top that gives a nod to classic skate shoe silhouettes.
“I wanted a shoe that had a classic look and feel but also included Nike’s technology and DNA. When you look at it from far away it looks familiar, but up close you notice all the custom details that I wanted to include in my signature shoe,” said Salazar.
For the first time ever, proprietary Nike Flywire technology has been applied to a skate shoe and results in superior heel lock and stability, while reducing weight. Omar’s nickname “Outer Space” gets the royal treatment with a space-themed outsole tread that features a thin, flexible rubber edge for a vulc-like flick. And last but not least, a hidden tongue pocket allows you to adjust the shoe’s tongue thickness.
To honor the shoe’s release, Jon Humphries and Jason Hernandez created a special video shot at a top-secret location this past winter. To view the clip and to learn more about the Zoom Omar Salazar SB please visit: nikeskateboarding.com/outerspace
